RiAn is a small yogurt workshop in Da Nang. We make Greek yogurt by hand, the slow way.
Each batch is cultured and strained slowly, using the traditional method. That is where the thick · chewy · creamy · clingy texture comes from, along with a clean, gentle tang.

A lot of yogurt sold as “Greek” in Vietnam is ordinary yogurt with a thickener stirred in. RiAn does it the original way: culture the milk, then strain slowly until the whey has drained and the thickness arrives on its own.
Real Greek, not “Greek-style”
Greek yogurt began with the nomadic peoples of West Asia and the Mediterranean. Thousands of years ago they carried milk in leather bags on long journeys. The milk fermented, the whey slowly separated, and what was left was thicker, smoother and deeper in flavour.
That is still the whole idea behind the traditional method: ferment slowly, strain slowly, let it concentrate on its own — no thickener needed.
“Greek” is not a flavour name. It is a method, a length of time, and the texture both of those produce.
Slow straining means being patient
Nothing added to thicken it. No shortcuts.
Only time — for the whey to drain away, for the milk flavour to concentrate, for the thickness to arrive on its own.

To reach the thickness we want, more than 70% of the whey is drained off — and some of the milk solids leave with it.
That is why one litre of fresh milk yields under 300 g of premium Greek yogurt.

Where can I buy homemade Greek yogurt in Da Nang?

How is RiAn different from the Greek yogurt sold in supermarkets here?
RiAn strains the whey by hand to build the thickness, with no thickeners, no stabilisers and no preservatives, and every batch is made fresh that day. Industrial tubs generally need those additives to hold their texture and a long shelf life. The trade-off is ours: RiAn must stay at 2–6°C and should be eaten soon.
Is it actually strained, or is it “Greek-style”?
It is strained. More than 70% of the whey is drained off over several hours, which is why one litre of milk gives under 300 g of yogurt. Greek-style products reach a similar thickness by adding a thickener instead, which is also why they cost less.
Which wards do you deliver to in Da Nang, and what does it cost?

Can I get it the same day I order?

Do you have an unsweetened version?
Yes. RiAn Greek yogurt comes both Lightly Sweetened and Unsweetened, in every tub size. You choose when you order; sizes and prices are in the products section on this page.
Can I get Greek yogurt with honey?
Yes. Honey syrup is on the menu under Extra Toppings — add it to any tub in the order form, for delivery or for pickup at 31/4 Le Hong Phong. If you prefer to control the sweetness, get the Unsweetened yogurt and add the honey yourself.
How long does it keep?
Because there are no preservatives, the shelf life is shorter than an industrial yogurt — that is the mark of genuinely fresh yogurt. Refrigerate at 2–6°C and eat it soon. Do not freeze it: once thawed it weeps and loses the thick texture.
